Morguard is a leading, publicly held commercial real estate company with an ownership and management portfolio of over $11 billion. Recently, they decided to develop a new investment vehicle: a REIT specializing in residential real estate.
THE CHALLENGE
To launch and market the Morguard North American Residential Real Estate Investment Trust and create excitement among a variety of investors.
THE THINKING
At bmir, we had to create a high-energy roadshow presentation that went beyond an off-the-shelf PowerPoint deck. bmir developed a complete solution, including scripts, information kits, speaker support/training, and a compelling A/V presentation showcasing the company's and management's strengths. We also provided Morguard executives with speaker coaching as part of the IPO preparation.
THE PERFORMANCE
At launch, Morguard developed significant investor interest in its offering. The result: Morguard's North American Residential REIT sold over 7.5 million units within its target price/yield range.
