case study
LEISUREWORLD – INVESTOR RELATIONS
THE CLIENT
Founded in 1972, Leisureworld Senior Care Corporation is the third largest licensed long-term care provider in Ontario, with
26 LTC homes and over 4000 beds across Canada. In 2010, the company made the decision to be publicly traded.
THE CHALLENGE
To create and execute Leasureworld's IPO presentation roadshow and to manage its IR needs post-offering.
THE THINKING
To build investor excitement in an often poorly understood category, bmir created an integrated launch strategy, including a mobile roadshow event and an engaging sales presentation. Following the successful IPO, Leisureworld retained bmir to implement and manage its Investor Relations program. We work closely with Leisureworld as a senior strategic partner, building a robust IR curriculum that includes presentation development, investment community outreach, online content, and annual report design.
THE PERFORMANCE
Leisureworld's offering earned over $190 million and, since then, they have built a solid reputation in the investment community with favourable access to capital. Today, Leisureworld is Canada's fifth largest operator of seniors housing. Its market cap has grown to $350 million, establishing a strong retail investor following. Leisureworld has also been included in the TSX/S&P SmallCap Index.
