IAMGOLD – ONLINE CSR REPORTING

IAMGOLD is a leading Canadian-based gold mining company with five mines on three continents and is a recognized long-term leader in sustainable mining practices.

THE CHALLENGE

To bring IAMGOLD’s Health, Safety and Sustainability (HSS) report online to showcase their sustainability practices in a compelling new way.

THE THINKING

Working with the client’s HSS specialists, bmir developed a user experience plan to translate IAMGOLD’s long-established print report to the online environment. The microsite used stunning original photography of IAMGOLD’s sites in West Africa and South America and clean simple usability to showcase a variety of sustainability programs. The full report was also customizable, downloadable and shareable.

THE PERFORMANCE

The report received acclaim from IAMGOLD stakeholders and helped publicize their CSR efforts in the media. In 2011, IAMGOLD received numerous industry awards for sustainability and social responsibility.
