Bryan Mills Iradesso (BMIR), an integrated financial and corporate communications firm, is seeking a skilled Interface Developer to join our Calgary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing websites and online applications utilizing standards-compliant web technologies. The ideal candidate will be current with the latest web trends, demonstrate proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues and have the ability to analyze complex problems methodically. A background in web development is required.

Responsibilities:
The Interface Developer is responsible for implementing the presentation tier of projects ranging from simple websites and mobile applications to complex enterprise software. The Interface Developer will collaborate with the creative team and back-end developers to translate visual designs, user experience flows and content into functional and engaging interfaces for client projects. This position will contribute to the creative process by determining browser or other client side technology recommendations and guidelines.

Requirements:

• More than four years of experience developing and deploying Internet sites and applications in a communications firm environment
• Expertise in:
• hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, JS/AJAX
• the integration of complex applications using PHP or .Net
• the latest web authoring tools and latest Adobe Creative Suite
• cross-platform, multi-browser issues
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with product development life cycles
• Familiarity with enterprise level software development practices (version control systems, issue tracking tools, local build environments)
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment with Project Managers, Designers and other Developers
• Must be flexible and willing to move between tasks as priorities change

Assets:

• Experience generating HTML for delivery in e-mail newsletters and marketing campaigns
• MVC development
• Experience working with content management systems

• Strong web administrative skills (hosting and domain management)
